School Equipment

The school has a number of rucksacks and tents that are available to participants for their Adventurous Journeys. It is important that the equipment is used with consideration, so that it stays in good condition for the benefit and comfort of all the participants. Any participant can check out this equipment if they are taking part in an Adventurous Journey. Participants need to cooperate with the Equipment Managers when they use the equipment storeroom.

It is the participant's responsibility to return the equipment to the equipment storeroom; clean, dry and in good condition, in line with the arrangements made by the Equipment Managers. When returning tents you will be required to set them up so that the Equipment Managers can check them. Therefore please allow enough time for this.

One of the requirements for success in an Adventurous Journey is the prompt return of the equipment. It is also the policy of the Award Centre that the Equipment Managers will impose fines to students who lose, damage, mistreat or delay the return of issued equipment through neglect/lack of responsibility. A list of fines that are applicable can be found below. Any fines will be sent via email. These will need to be paid to the Accounts Department within 7 days.
