Founder's Day Prize Criteria
Special Prizes
The "Christakis Loizou Prize" Christakis Loizou was the Board and School Accountant, part-time teacher, and Boarding Housemaster for 10 years. He is well-known for his love for the school and the precision and honesty with which he carried out his duties. The prize is given in memory of his late wife Maroulla Loizou. Awarded to the student with the Highest scoring in AS year 6 Business
The “George Hadjigeorgiou Prize” The “George Hadjigeorgiou Prize” is given by ESSA to the student who scored the highest result in the Mathematics entrance exam in memory of our colleague George Hadjigeorgiou, who passed away suddenly in 2018.
The 'Ioanna Skordi Prize": The prize will be given to a year 3 Non-native student (now in Year 4) who will be selected based on the following criteria: commitment to the subject, continuous efforts, progress, participation in class and academic performance at internal and external exams
The "Marios Christou Prize" Marios Christou was an English School graduate, parent of the school and Senior Partner at PWC who passed away suddenly in 2004. His family awards this prize in his memory. Awarded to the student with the highest score in the AS IAL Year 6 Economics results and the Mock Results.
The "Niki Marangou Prize" for Founder's Day criteria is the highest marks were in year 6 UMS or end-of-year exams of Greek/Turkish in related A-level subjects - English Language, English Literature, Greek, Turkish, Art, History, Music.

- Year 5: Awarded to the student who achieves the highest UMS marks in GCSE Art and Design, demonstrates exceptional performance in the subject, and actively promotes the Arts within the school and the general community.

- Current Year 4: The students who obtained the highest scores in the End-of-Year 3 Computer Science examination. Suppose we have more students than the prizes; top EoY Term scores are considered.
- Current Year 5: The students who obtained the highest scores in the End-of-Year 4 Computer Science examination. If we have more students than the prizes, the top EoY Term scores are considered.
- Current Year 6: The students who obtained the highest UMS scores in the Cambridge IGCSE examination results.
