The English Department is at the heart of the school and as such provides school-wide opportunities beyond the classroom to develop langauge skills and explore niche literary interests. Use of English is fundamental to a number of ECAs, inbcluding debating and conferences. Departmental staff are actively involved in Junior and Senior Debating opportunities, EYP and Model United Nations.


In addition, creative writing and the further enjoyment of literature is encouraged and explored with student-led journalism, poetry workshops, book clubs and podcasts, to name a few.
