Beyond the Classroom
Drama at our school extends far beyond the classroom, offering students exciting opportunities to express themselves and make a difference. Students in the drama club explore different techniques and styles of theatre to create performance work, from shadow movement pieces to improvisation comedy and so much more. We encourage students to get involved in original devised work, where they can explore social issues and use their creativity to spark meaningful conversations, also introducing fields such as costume and set design, lighting and sound. Whether it's performing in plays or musicals, creating comedy skits for Talent Night, or being a member of the technical team and crew, there is always a part for everyone to learn and expand their skills.
Students also have the opportunity to attend theatre trips, engage with youth film festivals, and immerse themselves in experiences that extend the boundaries of the classroom. Drama is not just about performance; it’s about having fun, building connections and friendships for life and using creativity as a powerful tool to communicate and create change.
