George Sklavos graduated from The English School in 1998. He holds a degree (BSc) in Economics from University College London (UCL) and Master’s degree (MSc) from the London School of Economics (LSE) in Public Policy and Administration. He is currently the Head of Corporate Communications & Branding at Hellenic Bank, overseeing the division responsible for communicating, protecting, and enhancing the Group’s brand and reputation, as well as handling the marketing budget.
 
Prior to joining Hellenic Bank in 2016, George worked alongside the Minister of Finance for 7 years, and was responsible for coordinating the relations with regional and international stakeholders, taking part in several EU and IMF Committees. During the Cyprus EU Presidency, he gained extensive experience through his role as coordinator and spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance. He also worked as the Financial Counsellor for the Permanent Representation of Cyprus to the EU (2006-2009), attending Economic and Financial Working Groups and Committees on behalf of the Republic of Cyprus.
