Celebrating Talent!
Three Year 1 girls, Lia Petrou 1R, Melina Angelides 1W and Juliana Hills 1W performed songs for their classmates in celebration of talent and the arts in our lives.
Lia sang an emotional version of ‘True Colors’ followed by an exciting performance of the song ‘Valerie” by Melina. The assembly closed with Juliana’s moving performance of Bohemian Rhapsody.
The girls were accompanied on the piano by Mr Andreas Pantelis, the jazz/pop piano instructor at the school’s instrumental programme.
There was a short presentation by the Music Department which focused on the importance of a growth mindset and how perseverance, hard work and dedication strengthen our talents.
We look forward to seeing many more performances by our talented year 1 student in upcoming shows. As Einstein once said, “ I have no special talents. I am just passionately curious.”
Composition Workshop
Eleonora, who is currently studying Music at Oxford University, shared with our students tips and advice on how to get started with their own composition, where to look for inspiration and practical approaches to developing ideas. We are looking forward to hearing the compositions from our budding composers, and we thank Eleonora for her enthusiasm!

Senior Economics & Business Extension Society Annual Lecture
Energy: Crisis, Opportunities and Policy
The purpose of the event is twofold. Primarily we are taking the opportunity to help our students enrich their knowledge in current economic issues relating to the global energy crisis, which will enable them to stretch and challenge their views on areas covered in the Economics curriculum such as energy prices and their impact on macro and micro economic issues.
Additionally, through this event we aim to promote extra-curricular activities as a vital part of school life, which doesn’t only contribute in solidifying subject knowledge, but also aims to develop socially responsible citizens who aim to develop a better world for future generations, inspired by the success stories of our School’s graduates. As such, the speaker in this event is the Honourable Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, our dearest alumni H.E. Ms. Natasa Pilides
The Minister will deliver a presentation on the above and depending on time availability she will answer questions asked by the audience. The event is scheduled at 16.30 and is addressed to year 4,5, 6 and 7 Economics and Business students as well as parents who may be interested to participate.
Your attendance will honour our event and motivate our team in continuing the legacy of the department as a provider of high end education, in class and outside.
If you are interested to attend please complete the online form below.
Kind regards,
Antoinette Skordis & Panayiotis Kkailas
