Exciting Lecture for Year 7 Students!

Dr. Lausi was in Cyprus for a high-level Japan-Cyprus scientific collaboration, and his talk, titled "Synchrotron Light: A Universal Tool for Science and Culture," explored how this cutting-edge technology is used to advance our understanding of science and culture.

As the Scientific Director of SESAME Synchrotron, a world-class research facility, Dr. Lausi shared incredible insights into the power of synchrotron light and its importance in shaping scientific advancements. His work not only sparked curiosity but also showed our students how science plays a pivotal role in shaping our world.

After the talk, our Year 7 Physics class had the opportunity to engage in an interactive Q&A session with both Dr. Lausi and Dr. Kirsi Lorentz, an Associate Professor at The Cyprus Institute. The session was filled with insightful questions and discussions, fostering a deeper understanding of potential career paths in science.
We hope this inspiring session opens the door for future collaborations and encourages our students to dream big in the world of science!
