What’s On
Day 3: Erasmus+ “FIT-food for thought” Poland mobility
At 6.30am we caught the bus to the historic city Gdansk and learnt about its special culture and importance in European history. Gdansk was simply stunning, after WW2 it was lying in ruins, and it was restored to regal glory later. We saw giant golden clock towers, one of the tallest Cathedrals around, canals, ships, bridges and rivers and lots and lots of shops selling amber. In the evening we ate Polish local food in a traditional Polish tavern, in a traditional wooden building with a thatched roof, and its own unique decorations.
Our project is geared to help us re-think our nutrition, eating habits and products we buy, leading to a healthier more sustainable future.

Day 2: Erasmus+ “FIT-food for thought” Poland mobility
Today's activities centred around our visit to the medieval and magical town of Torun. We travelled with our Polish hosts and Italian guests to discover its history, legends, and food. +
Torun is home to the legend Nicolaus Copernicus; he was the renaissance astronomer who figured out that the Sun is the centre of our solar system. It is also full of magical tales, a leaning tower that supposedly grants wishes and a beautiful fountain with brass frogs that offers unending love! The highlight was visiting the Gingerbread museum, where we learnt how the local delicacy was made from medieval times until now. We ate the delicious gingerbread, which is the best in Poland, if not the world…
Our project is geared to help us how re-think our nutrition, eating habits and products we buy, leading to a healthier, more sustainable future.

Boarding for Paris, Munich and Madrid!
Students will have an excellent opportunity to become acquainted with the culture of the host country. They will also have private visits to universities in Germany, France and Spain, whereby students can explore the possibility of studying in an EU Country. Additionally, students travelling to France and Spain will attend intensive language lessons delivered by native speakers and receive a certificate of participation at the end of the trip.
Information regarding the three trips has already been shared with parents in a meeting held at the school. It was terrific seeing our students’ parents, and we are looking forward to travelling once again!
We wish all our students great travels; in French: un bon voyage, in German, eine gute reise and in Spanish un buen viaje !
