Since the beginning of the school year, Yiannis has achieved a series of remarkable milestones:
  • Champion in Cyprus: Yiannis recently won both the Singles and Doubles titles at a Tennis Europe U12 tournament held in Cyprus, making him the only Cypriot to achieve this distinction in 2024.
  • Pancyprian Victories: Yiannis claimed victory in the U14 Singles category at the Pancyprian tournament at the Sporting Club in Limassol, as well as the U12 Singles at the Famagusta Club in Limassol.
  • Strong Performance in U14 European Tournaments: Yiannis advanced to the round of 16 in Singles at two prestigious Tennis Europe U14 tournaments in Larnaca (September) and Limassol (October).

His current rankings reflect his dedication and talent, with Yiannis positioned as the No. 1 player in Cyprus for the U12 category and No. 5 in the U14 category. Earlier this year, Yiannis represented Cyprus at the annual Tennis Europe team events—the Winter Cups held in Cyprus and the Summer Cups in France—where he achieved significant wins in both singles and doubles, helping our country finish 4th and 7th in their groups, respectively. He was also invited to participate in the prestigious Future Stars event held in Athens, where he had the opportunity to play and practice with the best U12 players in the world, achieving a notable win against the No. 1 player from South Africa.

These accomplishments showcase Yiannis’s dedication and the commitment he brings to both his tennis career and academic responsibilities. His success is a testament to his hard work and perseverance, and we are proud to support him in achieving his dreams.

We congratulate Yiannis on these incredible achievements and look forward to seeing more of his successes on and off the court!
