In Memory of Vrahimis Petri
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Vrahimis Petri, a cherished figure in our school's history, who was laid to rest this past Sunday. Mr. Petri's legacy at The English School spans decades of dedicated service, from his early years as a student to his many years as an esteemed teacher, mentor, and leader.

ES EYP Club Students Shine at the 18th National Session of EYP Cyprus
We are incredibly proud of our ES EYP Club students who took part in the 18th National Session of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) Cyprus, held at UCLan Cyprus from the 28th to the 31st of August. This prestigious event welcomed approximately 200 participants from across Europe, providing a unique platform for young people to engage in meaningful discussions about the future of Europe.
DataScEd4CiEn 2nd Project Meeting Held in Athens
On September 27, 2024, the second Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the Data Science Education in STEAM for Civic Engagement and Social Justice from the Early Years (DataScEd4CiEn) project took place at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).
Joint Staff Training in Athens: Exploring Data Science & STEAM for Education
On September 25-26, 2024, the Erasmus+ DataScEd4CiEn project partners gathered at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens for a Joint Staff Training Event. Over two days, participants engaged in a series of theoretical inputs, hands-on activities, and discussions focused on data science, STEAM education, and civic engagement. Mrs Leoni Hadjithoma (Erasmus+ coordinator) and Mr Michalis Gavrielides (Head of Maths) attended the training on behalf of our school.
Panos Panayi – a lifetime of service to music education and The English School
As Music Master at The English School from 1957, Mr Panayi touched the lives of hundreds of students in over four decades of music class and instrumental teaching, choir and orchestral conducting. He was well-known for his innovative methods, exacting standards and inimitable sense of humour, a true legend to all the generations who had the privilege of being taught by him. We strive to follow in his footsteps and honour his legacy by keeping the music department he loved so much at the cultural centre of our community.
