Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A degree in Sports Science, including relevant modules, coaching experience, and experience in individual sports
- Coaching qualification in an individual sport / sports as per the National Agency for each sport
- Recognized coaching qualification from the UK / EU
Job Description – Duties
- Attend relevant planning meetings for Afternoon Games as required by Head of PE
- Assist with registration process, helping Heads of House
- Monitor attendance at coaching sessions, follow up on individual students if necessary
- Engage the students in sports activities following safe practices, coach appropriate skills and organise and referee matches
- Check out sports equipment from the PE storeroom, ensure its safe and appropriate use by the students and its return to the equipment store
- Be responsible for the organization of teams’ participation in fixtures and tournaments both inside and outside of school
- Report on matches and tournament results through the school website and social media, publicizing successes both of teams and individuals
- Be responsible for the health and safety of students under their supervision
- Report any accidents following school policy
- Review and evaluate at the end of the year, including proposing students for awards, writing testimonials if required and a short report to the HoD
- Perform any other reasonable duties that the Head of PE may require
Remuneration
Level 1 – Hourly rate €20, Level 2 – Hourly rate €25, Level 3 – Hourly rate €30
