Outstanding Achievements at the Pancyprian Swimming Competition

Competing among the best swimmers from across Cyprus, our 12 students showcased their exceptional talent and dedication, bringing home four medals and achieving impressive rankings.

Inter-House Athletics Competition 2024-2025

We had a full programme for our Juniors and selective events for our Senior athletes.  Lots of exciting competitions took place, with our athletes participating in their individual and relay events with passion, determination and sportsmanship.
 
On Sports Day, we had the Finals of eight individual boys and girls events as well as the Year 1 Relay and the 4x100m Relay Finals.  Our Sports Day Choreography Club put on a great show with their dance routine, which was enjoyed by everyone.
 
A number of star athletes emerged over the course of the competition, who won the top individual awards:
 
The Junior Champions in the boys category were Constandinos Kyriakos Pedonomou Middleton and Gabriel Azar, with Karlo Lazic being the Runner Up.
 
The Junior Champion in the girls category was Ioanna Ioannou and the Runner Up was Anna Maria Michaelidou.
 
The Victor Ludorum was Gerasimos Georgios Panayides and the Runners Up were Marios Ilarionos and Sotiris Hadjikyriakou.
 
The Houses that won the Inter-House Athletics Competition were Newham in the Junior Boys and Senior Boys Categories and Wolseley in the Junior Girls Categories.
 
Sports Day was a great opportunity for staff and students to come together to celebrate the achievements of our students in athletics.  Everyone helped make the event a success!

Michael Kanellos Secures Top Honours in Cyprus Cycling Federation Championships

The ES Teachers Take on the Mitsero Mine Race at #RunningWithPhilip Event

The event, which promotes fitness, well-being, and community spirit, saw enthusiastic participation from Christopher Brown and Selma Karayalçın, the organizers of the ES Running Team initiative. They were joined by Vanessa Cambert, Andreas Ioannou, Chrysoulla Konstantinou, and Marilena Neocleous, all of whom embraced the challenge with determination and enthusiasm.

The Mitsero Mine Race, set against the backdrop of the region’s historic mining landscape, provided a scenic yet demanding route for the runners. The ES Running Team’s commitment to health and teamwork was once again on display, reinforcing the school’s dedication to fostering an active and supportive community.

With each event, #RunningWithPhilip continues to grow, bringing together staff, students, and alumni in the spirit of endurance and camaraderie.
