The commemoration began with the Year 1 Assembly and tree planting event, a tradition that allows us to give back to nature and remember our founder’s commitment to growth and sustainability.
During the assembly, our Headmaster spoke about our Founder and our rich history to our Year 1 Students, followed by the traditional tree planting event, a symbolic gesture – planting a tree that will stand as a testament to our founder's enduring legacy.

As the day unfolded, the sports fields buzzed with enthusiasm. Our young athletes in Years 1 and 2 kicked off with a 'Come and Try' Korfball event, embracing the essence of learning and teamwork. The Junior Girls Basketball Finals saw Years 1-3 displaying exceptional talent, embodying the competitive yet fair play spirit of our school.

The futsal pitches echoed with cheers as Boys and Girls from Years 3 to 5 competed in the Inter-House Competition, demonstrating agility and sportsmanship. Meanwhile, the Boys 7-a-Side Football Tournament for Years 6 and 7 displayed strategy and skill, adding to the day’s thrilling atmosphere.

A highlight was the Staff vs Students Volleyball Match, a crowd-favourite that reminded us of the close-knit community we are privileged to be a part of.

As the sun set, the celebrations transitioned to the Lower School and Upper School Founder's Day Award Celebrations.

The festivities will continue on Saturday, 4th November, with the much-anticipated Viva La Vida BQ Event.

Our students from Year 6 and Year 7 have proven themselves as true ambassadors of unity and valour as they participated in this year's School Parade. They proudly embody the values that Oxi Day represents, carrying the torch of resilience and strength forward.

As we celebrated Oxi Day, we honoured the bravery of those who stood up against tyranny and adversity, and we celebrated the students who serve as ambassadors of these values within our school community. Their participation in the parade exemplifies the school's commitment to instilling these principles in our students, nurturing a new generation of leaders who stand for unity and courage.

The Aramco F1 in Schools World Finals 2023 promises to be thrilling, and Wave Racing is at the forefront, carrying our hopes and dreams. Let's rally behind them, share their accomplishments, and celebrate their achievements as they race towards victory! 

The iGeo 2023, an international platform for young geographers aged 16-19, saw participation from nearly 50 countries across the globe. Our students engaged in various challenges that put their geographical knowledge and skills to the test, including written response tests, multimedia assessments, a stimulating fieldwork exercise, and a creative poster exhibition themed "Creative Cities for Designing Inclusive Urban Communities."
 
We proudly announce that Giannis Agapiou secured a Silver Medal and a commendable national ranking for the Cyprus Team in the mid-twenties.
 
The journey was not only intellectually rewarding but also culturally enriching. Our students immersed themselves in a plethora of cultural events and musical experiences. They had the privilege of exploring Indonesia's rich geography, from the enchanting tropical rainforests to awe-inspiring volcanoes.
 
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organizers in Cyprus, the iGeo Task Force, and the Cyprus government for their unwavering support. This incredible journey would not have been possible without their assistance, covering all costs and expenses ensuring this experience remains in our students' memories forever.

They marvelled at Picasso's "Guernica" in the Reina Sofia Museum, dazzled by optical wonders at the Museo de las Ilusiones. Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, home to Real Madrid, captivated their hearts, while the Warner Bros Theme Park brought joy and laughter.

Visiting the prestigious IE Business School and La Universidad Europea broadened their horizons academically.

Savouring tapas, paella, and churros, they were immersed in nine hours of Spanish lessons by Abecedatic's local teachers, bridging language gaps.

An inspiring encounter with the Ambassador of Cyprus in Spain, Ms Helena Mina, ignited aspirations.

With certificates in hand, they embrace new cultures fearlessly, empowered to pursue dreams and understand the world. Grateful to all who made this week unforgettable, guiding us on a quest for knowledge and understanding.
