Newly Elected Student Leaders Visit Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia

During the visit, Andreas Antoniou, Chairman of ESOBGA, joined the school delegation and provided insightful history and information about the exhibition. The exhibition brochure featured historic photographs and artefacts, which helped bring the history of football on the island to life.

To mark their first official duty, Headmaster David Lambon presented the student leaders with a copy of the commemorative brochure from the exhibition. The student leaders are Head Boy Philemon Antoniou, Head Girl Marisa Troullidou, Deputy Head Boy Georgios Tornaritis, and Deputy Head Girl Louissa Maroudia.

The visit to the Leventis Municipal Museum was a valuable learning experience for the student leaders. It is hoped that they will use their newfound knowledge and understanding to inspire their peers and make positive contributions to their school and the wider community.

Overall, the exhibition highlights the importance of sport in society and the role that it can play in bringing communities together. At The English School, we are proud of its contribution to the development of football in Nicosia, and the visit to the museum was a great way to celebrate our rich history.
