The Cyprus National Team delivered an outstanding performance at the 29th Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (JBMO) 2025, proudly bringing home four bronze medals. The medal recipients were Mariza Paspalli, Petros Vourmas, Zilin Su, and Alexis Tsangaris.
We are especially proud to celebrate our student, Zilin Su (Form 4G), who earned a bronze medal as part of this remarkable national achievement. Our school was also represented by Andreas Aristodemou and Sotiris Cleanthous from Year 4, who contributed to this excellent team effort.
JBMO 2025 was hosted in Struga and Ohrid, North Macedonia, with the competition held on Thursday, 26 June 2025. The event gathered talented young mathematicians from across the region and invited countries, offering a rigorous problem-solving contest and a rich cultural programme.
About the JBMO
The Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad is a prestigious international competition for students aged 15.5 or younger, organized by the Mathematical Society of South Eastern Europe (MASSEE). Participating teams are drawn from MASSEE member countries and invited guests, with each delegation fielding up to six students selected through national competitions.
