Friendly Football Match: The English School vs Senior School Junior Girls

Standfirst: The first of two annual friendlies showcased teamwork, spirit, and skill in a 6-a-side format—setting the tone for the return fixture later in the academic year.

Our school hosted the first of two annual friendly football matches between the Junior Girls Team and the Senior School Junior Girls Team. Played in a 6-a-side (6 v 6) format, the fixture highlighted excellent teamwork, fair play, and determination from both squads.

Although the Junior Girls Team did not come away with the win, their effort and resilience were commendable throughout. The Senior School Junior Girls Team demonstrated great skill and experience, making for an engaging and enjoyable match for all who attended.

This friendly is a valued tradition in our school calendar. It nurtures community spirit, gives our young athletes meaningful match experience, and builds momentum for the second meeting later this academic year.
