The Pancyprian Badminton Competition took place on the 1st of February 2023 at the Archiepiscopou Makariou Γ’ Gymnasium at Platy. 

On Friday, January 20th, Year 6 students of French had the opportunity to taste the French "galette", equivalent to the Vasilopita. 

​As the Lunar New Year approaches, our school was honoured to host a visit from the Confucius Institute at the UCY. On Thursday, January 19th, teachers and staff from the institute engaged our Year 1 students in an interactive presentation about the Spring Festival and the Lunar New Year. This year, the zodiac animal representing the Lunar New Year is the rabbit, symbolizing longevity, peace, and prosperity.

Ms Elena Chrysanthou (PE department) and PE teachers from Italy, Croatia, Netherlands, and Cyprus are in the Netherlands this week, being trained by Korfball expert trainers and working on a strategy to bring Korfball to schools. 

​We are beyond proud to announce that four of our elite athletes were recently honoured by the Cyprus Athletics Federation for their outstanding success as Student-Athletes for 2022. 

​On Friday, January 13th, 2023, the Economics Society was thrilled to welcome back an alumnus, Mr Maroudias.

Congratulations to the 13 students from The English school who have achieved excellent results in the Mathematical Pancyprian competition! 

On the 9th of December the Finals and 3rd/4th Place Matches of the Year 1 Basketball Competition and Year 3 Football Competition took place. 

On Friday, 2nd December, ​The English School was honoured to be invited to participate in the Special Olympics Floorball Event, organized by the Parimatch Foundation.

The Finals and 3rd/4th Place Matches for the Year 1 Basketball Tournament and Year 3 Football Tournament were held this week. 

The Physical Education Department is pleased to announce the results of the Inter-House Cross-Country Competition.

​On Sunday, December 11th, the Running Club and PE Department of The English School participated in the Quantum Nicosia Marathon.
