The Senior Girls’ Basketball team of our school achieved an impressive third place in the highly competitive basketball tournament organized by the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth. The team played exceptionally well against both public and private schools, showcasing their skill, determination, and teamwork.

The English School Senior Boys Futsal Team showcased exceptional determination and teamwork during the Nicosia Senior Boys Futsal Schools Competition, leaving a lasting impression with their spirited performances.

The English School U15 Girls’ football team continued their stellar season with an impressive 4-2 victory against a formidable Apollon Ladies side. The game showcased the team’s skill, determination, and teamwork as they maintained their unbeaten start.

The Senior Boys Basketball team of The English School achieved a remarkable victory yesterday in the Nicosia Senior Boys Basketball Competition, featuring the top four schools in the city. In a closely contested match against Grammar School, our team emerged victorious with a final score of 51-46.

The annual Inter-House Cross Country Competition, organized by the PE Department, took place last week with great participation and competitive spirit.

On Monday, 2nd December, the Junior Year 1 Boys Football Team took on the Year 1 Senior School Football Team in a thrilling friendly match held on our school grounds. 

On November 25, 2024, history was made at The English School Sports Facilities. After several years without matches, our Junior NBA Basketball Team, Year 1 Junior boys Football Team and Y2-3 Junior boys Football team reignited the spirit of competition in a friendly games against American Academy Larnaca.

We are thrilled to announce that our Senior Boys Basketball Team secured an impressive win earlier today against Lykion Pallouriotissas, with a final score of 59-42! This fantastic performance has earned them a spot among the top four basketball teams in Nicosia.

Our newly formed Senior Girls Volleyball Team proudly represented The English School in the Nicosia Schools Competition last week, facing the formidable Latsia Lyceum. Known as one of the tournament’s favorites, Latsia Lyceum posed a challenging match from the outset.

Last week, our school community celebrated Founder’s Day in honour of Canon Frank Darvall Newham, embracing the spirit of sportsmanship through various engaging activities and competitions.
