Some information will appear only after it has been officially published by the school, and certain sections may update at specific times of day. If anything looks unclear, it is usually due to timing or a display setting rather than an issue with your child.

Helpful things to know
- Some information appears only after it is officially published
- Not all sections update daily — some update weekly or termly
- Older reports are stored in the Documents area, not under current assessments
- If something looks missing, it usually means it hasn’t been released yet, not that it’s unavailable.

Frequently Asked Questions – Engage Parent Portal
Why can’t I see a report yet?
Reports become visible only after they are officially published by the school. If a reporting period is still ongoing, the report will not appear yet. Please note that reports are released once all outstanding fees have been settled. If you do not see the report after the published release date, please contact the School’s Finance Department.
Why can my child’s attendance look different during the day?
Attendance updates are made as registers are completed and checked by the school. The Attendance module is available to parents daily from 14:30 and is temporarily unavailable between 06:00 and 14:30 while entries are validated. Figures may change during the term and are finalised before reports are issued.
What is the Daybook?
The Daybook is a section of Engage used for online forms and submissions to the school. Parents may use it to submit items such as absence notes and other requested forms. It is not a behaviour log or a report section. If you are unsure what to complete, please follow the school’s instructions or contact helpdesk@englishschool.ac.cy
Why are old reports not showing under “Reports”?
Older reports are stored in the Documents Management System (DMS) area of the portal and were migrated to both the Parent DMS and your child’s DMS.
All future reports will be published under Assessment Reports and will also be saved in your child’s DMS for reference.
When will Common Assessment results appear, and where do I find them?
Common Assessment results are usually published on the portal within two weeks of the assessment.
To view them:

Select the relevant reporting period (Term 1, Term 2, Term 3, or Select All). Results can be viewed by individual terms or across mulitple terms by using ‘Select All’ from the drop down box.

Where can I find the Common Assessment schedule?
The Common Assessment schedule is no longer displayed on the school website pages. It is now available in the Engage Parent Portal under Websites → CA Parents Tool
Why does Engage use wording I don’t recognise?
Engage is an international system used by many schools worldwide. Some labels are built into the platform and cannot be changed locally. For clarity, please follow the school’s guidance and instructions when using the portal.
What is the difference between “Assessments” and “Assessment Reports”?
Assessments shows marks/results for assessments (e.g., Common Assessments) once they have been published. Assessment Reports contains official school reports. They are separate sections, so information may appear in one and not the other.
What is the DMS?
DMS stands for Document Management System. This is where important documents are stored, including older reports, letters, and documents shared through the portal.
What are “Points”?
The Points section relates to behaviour/conduct points where applicable. It is not an academic score and does not affect assessment results.
What does “Pupil Subjects and Teachers” show?
This section lists your child’s current subjects and assigned teachers. If changes are being made to sets or timetables, updates may take a short time to appear in the portal.
Why is a section empty?
An empty section usually means there is no data to display at this time, not that something is missing.
