Eight English School students travelled to London this summer to participate in the London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious STEM summer programmes, held at Imperial College London.
Daphne Bismal, Evita Charalambides, Gerasimos-Georgios Panayides, Maximos Psaltis, Nikodemos Theophanous, Ruzgar Gurtuna, Vasilis Markides and Kyriacos Zapitis joined an international community of approximately 500 young scientists from more than 90 countries for an intensive two-week STEM experience.
The programme included lectures from Nobel Prize winners and leading researchers, visits to renowned scientific establishments and opportunities for students to present their own research at the Science Bazaar.
Participation in LIYSF provided our students with the opportunity to engage with science beyond the classroom, exchange ideas with young people from around the world and explore future possibilities within STEM.
We congratulate all eight students on an experience that reflects their passion for science, intellectual curiosity and commitment to learning.
