Ms Jabbar, Economic Adviser at the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). Drawing on work from the CMA’s
Microeconomics Unit—a dedicated research team exploring competition, innovation and productivity—Ms Jabbar will offer an insider’s
perspective on how evidence and analysis inform policy and enforcement to support a dynamic, competitive economy.

Ms Jabbar is an Economic Adviser at the CMA. She joined the Authority in June 2022 and works in the
Microeconomics Unit, which carries out economic research on competition, innovation, and productivity to support growth in the
UK economy. Prior to the CMA, she was an Economist at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
Ms Jabbar holds an MSc in Economics from Warwick University, an MA in Political Science from Mannheim University, and a BSc in Economics from Swansea University.
