Planet Spotting at The English School: A Starry Success Thanks to Generous Donation!
Our school community recently enjoyed three incredible evenings of stargazing, thanks to our solar system providing the stunning “planetary parade” this January and February and special by a generous donation from graduate George Michael co-owner of IMH media and ESL 1987, who donated us his fantastic Celestron telescope!
Michael Kanellos Secures Top Honours in Cyprus Cycling Federation Championships
The English School proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of Michael Nicholas Kanellos, who has demonstrated remarkable talent and dedication in competitive cycling. Michael secured first place in the U15 category in both the General Classification and the Mountain Bike Championship, as officially announced by the Cyprus Cycling Federation.
The ES Teachers Take on the Mitsero Mine Race at #RunningWithPhilip Event
On Sunday, 9th February, six dedicated teachers laced up their running shoes to participate in the second #RunningWithPhilip event of the academic year, taking on the Mitsero Mine Race (5.6 km).

Chinese New Year Event
On January 31st, our school had the pleasure of hosting a visit from the Confucius Institute at UCY, bringing Chinese culture to life through presentations and performances in celebration of the Spring Festival and the Lunar New Year. 
The English School Running Team Raises €1,415 for PASYKAF at Quantum Nicosia Marathon
The spirit of community and philanthropy shone brightly as The English School Running Team participated in the Quantum Nicosia Marathon on Sunday, December 8th, 2024. Nearly 80 teachers, students, and parents proudly represented the school in the 5K Corporate Team event, coming together for a cause that truly matters.
The English School at the European Parliament: Democracy in Action
On the 28th of January, The English School proudly participated in a remarkable visit to the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Representing our school was our Senior Ambassador, Dr. Niki Melanidou, along with eight dedicated Junior Ambassadors from Year 6: Yasemin Bozkirli, Odysseas Protopapas, Charalampos Stylianou, Ioli Klitou, Eleni Andreou, Imanuel Cohen, Katerina Cleanthous, and Andrea Philippou.

Aglaia Patsalidou Leads the Way with ParkVol Initiative
We are very proud to highlight the inspiring work of Aglaia Patsalidou, one of our remarkable students, who recently presented her innovative initiative, “ParkVol,” to the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Strovolos. This groundbreaking project, envisioned and founded by Aglaia, seeks to rejuvenate the Ayios Dimitrios/Strovolos Park and transform it into a vibrant space for the community.
