On Sunday, April 14th, The English School Nicosia proudly hosted a dynamic chess tournament, attracting 70 participants spanning from 6 to 18 years old from schools all over the island.

We are thrilled to announce the recipients of the prestigious scholarships for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025. These scholarships are awarded based on exceptional performance in the Entrance Examinations. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the deserving recipients who have demonstrated outstanding academic prowess. During the recent half-term break, members of the ES EYP Club showcased their exceptional talents and dedication at the first National Session of Model European Parliament (MEP) organized by the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth. Held at the Pancyprian Gymnasium in Nicosia from February 23rd to 25th, this event gave our students a unique opportunity to engage in stimulating debates and discussions on European matters.

As a chair my experience was unforgettable! I have managed to meet people from Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Poland and form everlasting friendships with the secretariat and other chairs as well as delegates. I will forever cherish those memories. Outside the conference I enjoyed the group dinners as well as the activities. This was definitely a trip to remember!!!

On Friday, January 26th, 2024, The English School had the immense honour and privilege of being part of a truly extraordinary celebration – the 100th birthday of one of our cherished alumni, Mr George Zartarian. This milestone event marked not only a century of life but also a century of enduring connection with our school and a remarkable journey through history.

In a significant step towards fostering political awareness and civic engagement, 12 bright students from the English School (ES) embarked on an enriching journey as part of the "School-Ambassador" program of the European Parliament. This initiative is not only shaping their understanding of European parliamentary democracy but also igniting their passion for active participation in EU democratic processes.
