In an outstanding achievement, Marianna Houtri, a Year 6 Biology student, has secured the coveted first prize in the esteemed International Medical Problem Solving Contest (MPSC 2023), which is one of the many competitions offered by the Biology department to stretch and challenge our most able students. This global event, renowned for assessing medical knowledge and problem-solving abilities, witnessed fierce competition among participants worldwide.

Marianna's remarkable performance showcased her exceptional problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and profound understanding of medical complexities. Despite her young age, she displayed dedication, commitment, and expertise in medical sciences that distinguished her from her peers.

The most successful solver of this contest wins the Complex DNA ERA Test, which provides personalised information about one’s health, disease risk, and genetic predispositions related to diet, sports, and lifestyle. Moreover, the twenty most successful solvers will be invited to an MPSC Summer Academy that will take place from 01.08. to 08.08. 2023 in Slovakia.
