We enthusiastically participated in World Space Week 2024, a United Nations-recognized global celebration of science and technology. To explore the applications of space technology, students engaged in interactive quizzes, thought-provoking discussions, and fun games during tutor time throughout the week of the 4th to 11th of October.

Additionally, students safely observed the sun using telescopes equipped with special solar filter, gaining a deeper understanding of our closest star and its influence on Earth's climate.

For Year 2 students, a dedicated assembly was held on 8th October to explain how satellites are utilized to monitor weather patterns and forecast climate-related events. The presentation highlighted the crucial role satellites play in combating climate change.

The week culminated in a star party on October 11th, where over 100 members of the English School community had the opportunity to observe Venus, Saturn and the Moon through the Astronomy Club's telescopes.
