Art Students Participate in Soap Making Workshop at CyHerbia Botanical Gardens
Our Arts and Crafts Club recently organized a day trip for its students to the CyHerbia Botanical Gardens in Avgorou. The trip was arranged with the purpose of giving the students a hands-on experience in soap making and a chance to explore the gardens and labyrinth.
A group of seventeen students, accompanied by their art teacher, attended the workshop and had an enjoyable experience. The workshop allowed the students to learn about the art of soap making and to make their own soaps from scratch. The students were guided through the process of selecting and mixing the right ingredients and choosing their preferred scents and colours.
In addition to the soap-making workshop, the students also had the opportunity to take a walk through the beautiful gardens and labyrinth. The gardens were bursting with colours, and the students were able to appreciate the different plants and flowers that were on display. The labyrinth was another highlight of the trip, with its winding paths and beautiful surroundings.
Although the art teacher did not participate in the workshop, she monitored the group closely and ensured everything ran smoothly. The students were thrilled with their creations and could not wait to take them home to show their families and friends.
Overall, the day trip to CyHerbia Botanical Gardens was a huge success and gave the students a unique and memorable experience. The art department hopes to organize more trips like this in the future to give students an opportunity to explore their artistic side and gain new skills.
