Success in The Heritage New Writing Contest

The English Department is thrilled to announce the success of one of our students, Natasa Ioannou, who has won the Under 18 Poetry Prize in the Heritage New Writing Contest. 

The nationwide creative writing competition aims to discover and inspire the best young writers of poetry and prose in Cyprus.

This year's theme for the contest was "Food", and a panel of published authors and academics judged submissions. We had entries for the following categories: Under 18 Best Poetry, Under 15 Best Prose, and 15 Best Poetry.

Natasa's winning poem will be published in the Heritage New Writing Contest's electronic showcase, Upon A Golden Bough. We want to extend our warmest congratulations to Natasa on her outstanding achievement and to all our other students who participated in the competition.
