The ES Teachers Take on the Mitsero Mine Race at #RunningWithPhilip Event
On Sunday, 9th February, six dedicated teachers laced up their running shoes to participate in the second #RunningWithPhilip event of the academic year, taking on the Mitsero Mine Race (5.6 km).
The event, which promotes fitness, well-being, and community spirit, saw enthusiastic participation from Christopher Brown and Selma Karayalçın, the organizers of the ES Running Team initiative. They were joined by Vanessa Cambert, Andreas Ioannou, Chrysoulla Konstantinou, and Marilena Neocleous, all of whom embraced the challenge with determination and enthusiasm.
The Mitsero Mine Race, set against the backdrop of the region’s historic mining landscape, provided a scenic yet demanding route for the runners. The ES Running Team’s commitment to health and teamwork was once again on display, reinforcing the school’s dedication to fostering an active and supportive community.
With each event, #RunningWithPhilip continues to grow, bringing together staff, students, and alumni in the spirit of endurance and camaraderie.
Congratulations to all participants—we look forward to seeing even more members of our school community join in future races!
