MediMUN is a renowned Model United Nations conference held annually in Cyprus, attracting over 350 delegates and members.

This year's theme, "Building Resilience," will focus on finding innovative solutions to global conflicts and vulnerabilities through debates and Model UN resolutions.

The 18th Annual MediMUN will take place at the University of Nicosia, despite the ongoing challenges posed by the pandemic. A dedicated group of students and teachers from The English School have worked hard to make the conference a reality.

Renowned speakers will be in attendance, including the Representative of the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus, Mr. Colin Stewart, the Netherlands Ambassador, Elke Merks-Schaapveld, and the keynote speaker, the Representative of the European Parliament in Cyprus, Myrto Zambarta. Your presence at the opening ceremony (Friday, February 3rd, 12:00-13:00) and closing ceremony (Saturday, February 4th, 17:00-18:00) would be a valuable show of international support for the participating students and MediMUN.

This year's MediMUN leaders include George Nicolaou as Secretary-General, Maria Thanassa as President of the General Assembly, and Lambros Hadjigavriel as Deputy Secretary-General.

The MediMUN conference provides a unique opportunity for young leaders to come together and address pressing global issues. Through constructive debate and the formulation of Model UN resolutions, delegates will have the chance to showcase their critical thinking skills and demonstrate their commitment to positively impacting the world.

Attending the MediMUN conference is a valuable opportunity to observe the next generation of leaders in action and to show your support for their efforts. We invite you to join us for an inspiring and educational experience that highlights the power of collaboration and the importance of global resilience.

Stay tuned.
