Junior Girls' Basketball Team Qualifies for Final Four in Nicosia Competition
On Monday, March 6th, our Junior Girls’ Basketball team competed in the Nicosia Basketball Competition and won their third match against Archagelos gymnasium, securing their spot in the final four.
We are thrilled to see our young female athletes excel in the sport and show great spirit, collaboration, and exceptional basketball skills.
Led by their coaches Rafaella Neokleous and Andreas Sizopoulos, the team played extremely well, winning with an impressive score of 46-7. Members of the team include Nathanael, Sophia, Lydia, Artemis, Penny, Yakinthi, Eleni, Ismini, Sophia, Paola, Veronica, Moria, and Maria. Congratulations to each of these talented young athletes for their hard work and dedication to the sport.
At our school, we believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where all students can thrive and pursue their passions. We are proud to see our young female athletes break down gender stereotypes and inspire others to do the same.
This achievement is particularly fitting as it coincides with International Women's Day, a day that celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women around the world. We stand in solidarity with all women and girls and are committed to promoting gender equality and empowering our female students to achieve their full potential.
We wish our Junior Girls' Basketball team the best of luck in the final four and look forward to cheering them on as they continue to represent our school with pride and excellence.
