Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad
We are thrilled to share some wonderful news with our school community. At the recent Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (JBMO) held in Albania, two exceptional students, Philippos Rouvas and Giorgos Gavriel, represented our country and school with utmost dedication and skill.
First and foremost, we congratulate Philippos Rouvas for his remarkable achievement at the JBMO. Philippos has made us incredibly proud by securing a well-deserved bronze medal. His outstanding performance in this highly competitive event showcases his exceptional problem-solving abilities and mathematical talent. Philippos's accomplishment brings honour to our school and reflects his commitment to academic excellence.
We would also like to recognize Giorgos Gavriel for his commendable participation in the JBMO. Giorgos's presence in the National team of Cyprus is a testament to his exceptional mathematical skills and dedication to honing them. While he may not have received a medal on this occasion, Giorgos's inclusion in the team is noteworthy. We applaud his efforts and acknowledge his passion for mathematics.
Furthermore, we would like to express our deepest appreciation to Mr Andreas Demetriou, one of the two main coaches responsible for preparing the National team of Cyprus for this competition. Mr Demetriou's guidance, expertise, and unwavering commitment have played a pivotal role in shaping the mathematical prowess of our students. We are immensely grateful for his contributions and impact on our student's academic journey.
Philippos Rouvas's bronze medal, Giorgos Gavriel's participation, and Mr Andreas Demetriou's coaching exemplify the excellence and dedication that define our school community.
