Turn Down the Heat, Turn Up Your Sweaters!
The Eco-Warriors and members of our Eco Club recently launched an inspiring campaign to promote energy conservation and sustainability. Taking inspiration from Canada’s National Sweater Day, they organized a special non-uniform day with a simple yet impactful message: turn down the heat and layer up!
On the day, students were encouraged to wear an extra layer of non-uniform clothing, reducing the need for classroom heating and raising awareness about energy consumption. But the campaign didn’t stop at just spreading awareness—students who participated in the non-uniform day also donated €2 each, contributing to a meaningful cause.
The money raised from this initiative has been added to our recent collection in support of Panos Stavrou, a student running the marathon for the Always Ioanna Foundation. This foundation works tirelessly to support children and families facing serious health challenges, making this effort not only an eco-friendly movement but also a demonstration of our school’s strong spirit of compassion and solidarity.
A big thank you to all students and staff who took part in this initiative! Your efforts are making a difference—both for the planet and for those in need. Let’s continue working together towards a more sustainable and caring community!
