With the UK's exit from the European Union, the demand for European language skills is expected to increase. Foreign language skills are crucial in enhancing employability and mobility, and multilingualism also boosts the competitiveness of the EU economy. According to a report by the European Commission in 2017, approximately one-fifth to a quarter of jobs in the EU required an advanced level of foreign language skills.

In response to this growing need for language skills, The English School's institute, The English Institute is proud to offer A1 courses in French, Spanish, and German for beginner-level students aged 11 to 14 years old. The courses will commence in September 2023, and registrations are now open. It is worth noting that French, German, and Spanish lessons are offered at The English School from Year 2 onwards, making this an excellent opportunity for incoming Year 1 students in the 2023/2024 academic year to register for language lessons.

The English Institute has a team of fully experienced language teachers who have achieved excellent results in the past. The courses are designed to provide a friendly environment where students can receive individual attention in small classes. The methodology adopted encourages progress towards fluency in the target language.

The lessons are fun and engaging, with activities such as songs, games, and other interactive exercises. After two years of study, students will receive an A1 certification, which will be a valuable asset when pursuing further language studies.

The English Institute also offers visits to local events, exhibitions, and competitions, which help students to immerse themselves in the language and culture of the countries they are studying. Additionally, the Institute provides advice on further language studies at the university and beyond.

For more information or to schedule an interview, please contact The English Institute on 22799306 (until 1.30 pm) or 22799500 (from 12.00 pm to 6.00 pm) or email the Institute at institute@englishschool.ac.cy.

Investing in language skills is a wise choice, given the current global economic and political climate. The English Institute is proud to offer high-quality language courses that will enable students to develop the skills they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
