A Memorable Experience: Our Student Visits the European Commission in Brussels
On August 29, 2024, one of our distinguished students, Vasiliki Christofi, experienced a unique educational journey by visiting the European Commission in Brussels through the European Parliament Ambassador Schools (EPAS) Program.
A Day of Insight and Inspiration
The visit began with a warm reception and an insightful presentation by Ms. Nicole Peil, setting the stage for an informative and inspiring day. This was followed by a comprehensive session led by Mr. Ierotheos Papadopoulos, who elaborated on the European Commission's pivotal role as the political executive of the European Union.
A Remarkable Encounter
The highlight of the visit was an exceptional opportunity to meet the President of the European Commission, Mrs. Ursula von der Leyen. This unforgettable experience provided students with a firsthand perspective on EU leadership and its global impact.
Immersive Learning Through Exploration
The day concluded with a visit to the European Commission’s Exhibition Centre – Experience Europe. Through interactive exhibits and engaging displays, students deepened their understanding of the EU’s history, policies, and future ambitions.

Beyond formal sessions, students explored the charming city of Brussels, experiencing its rich culture, historic landmarks, and vibrant atmosphere. This cultural immersion added an enriching dimension to their educational trip.
