The Formula One Technology Challenge
The F1 in Schools Cyprus National Finals will take place on the 13th & 14th May 2017
at The English School, Science Building outside the Physics and Biology labs
The F1 in Schools™ Challenge is the world’s largest Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) Competition. The unique F1 in Schools Challenge introduces middle and high school aged students to the engineering process. From business planning, design, manufacturing, analysing, and marketing to racing, students get to participate in a true hands and minds-on activity.
Preliminary Event Schedule
Friday 12th May 2017
13:00 – 14:00 (SB18)
Team Registration and submission of F1 cars and supporting documentation. A3 presentation copies and Submission forms must also be submitted.
Saturday 13th May 2017
09:00 Teams arrive and set up pit displays
11:30 – 13:30 Judging session 1
11:30 – 13:30 Time Trials Races (Both Team cars race without trigger reaction time)
13:30 – 14:00 Lunch Break
14:00 – 16:00 Judging session 2
14:00 – 16:00 Reaction Races (Both Team cars are launced in manual / drive reaction mode)
Sunday 14th may 2017
09:30 Teams arrive
10:00 – 12:00 Judging session 1
12:00 – 14:00 Knockout Competition Races
14:00 – 14:30 Judges de-brief
14:30 – 15:00 Awards Presentation
