The English School Hosts Successful Annual Tennis Tournaments

We recently held our Annual Tennis Tournaments at our new tennis courts, and it was a successful event with a high standard of tennis on display. Mr Yiannos Ioannides, the Junior and Senior Tennis Clubs organiser, supervised the matches.

 

The Boys' Competition Final was an intense battle that went all the way to a tie-break. Ultimately, Ioannis Lambrou emerged victorious, maintaining his composure to defeat Andreas Constantinides and clinch the championship.

On the other hand, the Girls' Competition was played in a round-robin format, with consistent play determining the winner. Victoria Georgopoulou proved to be the most consistent player, winning the tournament, with Nayia Stephanou finishing in second place.

All participants demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and were commended for their hard work and dedication. We congratulate all the players for their fantastic efforts and impressive skills.

We are also grateful to Mr Ioannides for his supervision of the tournaments and continuous efforts to promote tennis at the school. We hope to continue to host such successful events and encourage more students to participate in sports and physical activity.

Overall, the Annual Tennis Tournaments were a huge success and highlighted the school's commitment to promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle among its students.
