We are delighted to share the remarkable achievements of three of our students who proudly represented Cyprus at the 42nd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (BMO) 2025, held this year in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Out of the six students selected for the Cyprus National Team, three were from our school — a truly exceptional distinction that highlights the academic excellence and mathematical talent fostered within our community.
Representing Cyprus from our school were:
- Anna Rouva – the youngest member of the national team
- Philippos Rouvas
- Ara Mahdessian
Their participation alone is a prestigious honour, but the accolades did not stop there. The only two medals awarded to Cyprus this year were earned by our students:
- Silver Medal – Ara Mahdessian
- Bronze Medal – Philippos Rouvas
These outstanding results are a testament to their exceptional talent, tireless preparation, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence. Their achievements not only bring pride to our school but also elevate Cyprus on the international academic stage.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Anna, Philippos, and Ara. Your success is a source of inspiration for the entire school community. You have made both your school and country incredibly proud!
