Success occurs when opportunity meets preparation - Unknown
Eliza Omirou has, for the third consecutive year, received the "Best female player of the year" award from the Cyprus Olympic Committee and  the Cyprus Tennis Federation for her outstanding achievements in  international tennis, her ethos and commitment to the sport.
 
In Cyprus she is ranked no.1 in the U16, U18 and ladies categories and in the international front she is ranked no.140 in the ITF U18 rankings!

Furthermore, Eliza has been offered a full athletic scholarship from Wake Forest University in the US (a private university in North Carolina, academically ranked no.23 nationally) to study for the BSc Business and Enterprise Management degree and play tennis with the university's women's team which is ranked no.27 in the NCAA Division 1. She is due to join the university in fall 2017.
