21st October finds our Astronomy Club members up in the mountains at Xliatos observing the night skies!

Clear skies greeted us when we arrived at Xyliatos for our trip.

We observed nebulae, galaxies and binary stars as a club for the first time. Xyliatos is a dark site far away from the light pollution of our big city. It was the peak of the Orionid meteor shower and we had the opportunity to see shooting stars against the stunning background of the Milky Way.

We will be going again soon, it was amazing!
