On Saturday 4th June the ES Astronomy Club participated in an astronomy workshop at Xyliatos Dam. They had an amazing time!

On Saturday 4^th June, The English School Astronomy Club participated in an astronomy workshop at Xyliatos Dam.

We had an amazing time. Xyliatos Dam is a dark site, far away from the city lights of Nicosia, this meant that students had the opportunity to observe galaxies, globular clusters, and nebulae.

Students also used telescopes to view Jupiter, Saturn and Mars.

The event was organised by the Cyprus Amateur Astronomy Group, and the Science and Space Café.
