Our Year 1 group have been very busy this month in raising money or working on different initiatives to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
On Monday, 30th November our 1M students has a Christmas Bake sale, raising EUR170.00. The week starting the 7th December our 1G students brought in blankets to be used by the babies in the Makarios III hospital and on the Friday 11th December our 1W and 1Y students held a very successful Christmas Bazaar raising EUR951.00. All proceeds were used to buy medical equipment and very much needed bed linen for the pre-mature infant ward at the Makarios III Hospital.
Today a representation of our Year 1 groups went to the Makarios III Hospital to deliver our gifts.
It was truly an emotional, yet wonderful experience. The students were allowed in groups of 10 to walk around the ward to see the little infants in their incubators. So many little babies being cared for, that will unfortunately will be away from home for Christmas.
Juniors you have really made us proud! The love and care you all put into this initiative is truly amazing.
