Year 2 Assembly 8th March, Topic: Building healthy relationships between boys and girls
Respect is earned. Honesty is appreciated. Trust is gained. Loyalty is returned. - Unknown
We welcomed Ms. Susana Pavlou (Director at the Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies) and graduate of our school, who spoke to our current Year 2 group on the 8th March 2016 about: “Building healthy relationships between boys and girls”.
This was a very useful session in that it ‘touched’ so many PSHE themes, which the Pastoral Team focus on with our young people: Respect, Sex education, Trust, Peer Pressure, Thinking outside the box, Gender stereotypes, Healthy relationships, No to violence and bullying – to name but a few.
It has given food for thought to students and also to us in order to do some follow up work on these topics.
A big thank you to Ms. Susana Pavlou for an amazing and inspirational presentation!
