The Gala Festival of Choirs was a fitting end to a creative and successful Arts Week 2019.

A packed audience of family and friends enjoyed a one night only concert of 4 different choirs at Pasydy theatre. The English School Chamber Choir “Class Act” kicked off the evening with “Seasons of Love” from the musical Rent. There then followed a varied programme by the joint Military Wives Choir of Akrotiri and Epoiskopi, Convocanti Vocal Ensemble and of course our very own Senior Choir. An instrumental interlude was provided by two of our finest musicians – Eleonora Savvidou-Missouri and Alexandra Kassinis who played Vivaldi’s only concerto for 2 cellos. By the end of the evening, everyone present was more than convinced that the arts are alive, and kicking, at The English School.
