English School Table Tennis Tournament – December 2021

On the 14^th December, we organised our first table tennis tournament of the academic year for young students of all ages to participate. We had 16 enthusiastic participants competing in knock-out and round-robin stages with the chance to earn 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place. 

With it being an open-to-all abilities tournament there were challenging matches and leading to the round-robin stage, where the three finalists being, Emmanouil Fotiou, Antonis Kyriakides and Giorgos Lingis fought for the bronze, silver and gold medals. After hard-fought victories, Giorgos Lingis won 1^st place, while Emmanouil Fotiou and Antonis Kyriakides finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively.
 
All participants thoroughly enjoyed the event and are looking forward to the next term where every Tuesday afternoon they will have to opportunity to learn, socialise, and enjoy a fun session of table tennis. Finally, a special thank you to Mr Yiannos Papaioannou (Head of PE), Mr Loizos (Operations), and Mr Rafail Krasto (Table tennis coach) for their help and support.
