On the 23rd of February, our school's swimming team participated in the Pancyprian Swimming Schools Competition, and they did not disappoint.
Senior Category:
- Soteris Petrou Y5: 2nd place in Senior Boys 200m Butterfly
- Orpheas Vasiloudes Bayadas Y5: 2nd place in Senior Boys 200m Breaststroke
- Nearchou Constantinos Y5: 3rd place in Senior Boys 100m Backstroke
- Danae Petsa Y5: 5th place in Senior Girls 100m Breaststroke
Junior Category:
- Harris Fereos Y1: 4th place in Junior Boys 200m Breaststroke
- Anna Panayides Y3: 4th place in Junior Girls 200m Freestyle
- Maria Nearchou Y1: 4th place in Junior Girls 200m Breaststroke
- Efthymia Stylianou Y2: 4th place in Junior Girls 200m Backstroke
- Antonis Galatopoulos Y1: 5th place in Junior Boys 100m Butterfly
- Orpheas Chimonas Y3: 6th place in Junior Boys 400m Freestyle
One standout performance was by Soteris Petrou, who achieved an impressive 2nd place in the Senior Boys 200m Butterfly. His dedication to training and his passion for swimming was evident throughout the competition, and we are proud to have him as part of our swimming team.
The competition, which saw schools from all over the country compete, was a chance for our students to showcase their swimming skills, and they did so with flying colours.
Another impressive result was achieved by Orpheas Vasiloudes Bayadas, who finished 2nd in the Senior Boys 200m Breaststroke. Orpheas is an exceptional swimmer who consistently demonstrates his natural talent and hard work in the pool. We are excited to see what the future holds for him.
In conclusion, our students represented our school with pride and professionalism during the Pancyprian Swimming Schools Competition. Their impressive results show their hard work, dedication, and love for the sport.
