The English School Senior Boys Futsal Tournament

Following the relaxation of some of the Covid-19 protocols that addressed the provision of competitive sporting events, the PE Department organised a Futsal Tournament for Senior Boys.  

Eight teams involving 68 students registered for the tournament, and two groups of 4 teams were set up.  One group included teams from Years 4 & 5 and the other group teams from Years 6 & 7.
 
The group matches took place in November and December 2021, and the Play-offs were scheduled for January 2022.  However, the reality of covid-19 and academic commitments meant that the matches were postponed, with the Final taking place in April 2022.
 
The winning teams were:
 
1^st Place -  Markos Jirkas, Nicolas Athinodorou, Andreas Gialelis, Panos Alepis, Haris Kypreos, Haris Liveris, Constantinos Andreou, George Gialelis, Omiros Christou
 
2^nd Place – Ioannis Zervos, Yiannis Defteras, Andreas Michael, George Photiou, Demetris Papapetrou, Giorgos Hadjigeorgiou, Ioannis Skordis, Petros Kallinicou, Stylianos Solomonides
 
3^rd Place – Alexandros Sophocleous, Giorgos Agapiou, Evrypidis Hadjimichael, Pericles Petrides, Ioannis Hadjigeorgiou, Anninos Charalambous, Alexandros Adamides, Michalis Petrides, Antonis Agapiou, Klimis Porfyridis
