Reviving a Long-Standing Tradition: The Salakian Trophy Meeting 2023
After three long years of no activity due to the pandemic, a long-standing tradition at our school has finally been revived.
The Salakian trophy meeting, a friendly hockey match between our school hockey team and the ESOBGA team, took place at the English school hockey pitch today, bringing back a sense of normalcy to our community.
It was a wonderful experience for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest participants, who shared their experiences and love for hockey in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The Salakian trophy meeting has been a tradition at our school for many years, and we are delighted to see it back in action after such a long break.
This community event was a perfect opportunity for the school hockey team and the ESOBGA team to showcase their sportsmanship and team spirit. Both teams played their best, and the match was full of excitement and thrill, with every player putting their heart and soul into the game.
The Salakian trophy meeting has always brought people together and promoted the love for hockey in our community. We hope to continue this tradition in the years to come and inspire the next generation of hockey players. We also want to thank all the participants who made this event possible. A big applause to our school hockey team for winning the trophy.
Mark your calendars for the next Salakian trophy meeting, which will take place on the 18th of March, 2023. Until then, keep practising your skills to get ready for the next game!
