Welcoming all Our Year 1 and Mid-Programme Entry Students!
Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was wonderful to welcome all our new students to school.
Our new students were eager to start their educational journey at The English School and we welcomed them on Induction day, which was held on Monday, 6th September. This marked a significant milestone in the students’ lives, a day in which they joined The English School community.
New students were welcomed by the Headteacher and members of the Senior Leadership Team and their Head of Year. Mid-Programme students then met a buddy from their class, who joined them for the day’s activities, including a tour of the school and an introduction to the School’s Office 365 system. They also spent time with their Form Tutors.
Our Year 1 children spent time with their Form Tutors, peers and Head of Year, and were introduced to the School’s Music and PE programmes. Senior student helpers took the children on a tour of the school, sharing important tips with them, and they enjoyed their break on the grass in front of the beautiful Newham building.
