Maria Charitonidi (year 4) wins the Francophonie Competition

Maria participated in the Francophonie competition organized every year by the French Institute and won.

This competition is open to all students in Cyprus and had more than 200 entries this year. 

Below she talks about her experience

 Participating in the “Quiz de la francophonie” was a fun experience. Having studied French for quite a few years and have a significant interest in the French culture, I decided to give it a shot. The questions varied a lot. Some were asking about the culture of French-speaking countries; other questions testing knowledge on French idioms; there were also questions concerning french-speaking celebrities such as actors and singers.
