Excellent results from our students in Euromath and Euroscience Conference 2022
Congratulations to all English School Students who successfully attended the Euromath and Euroscience conference in Thessaloniki from the 27th of June to the 1st of July.
Our students had the chance to present their projects in front of teachers and students from all over Europe. We are very proud to say that our students did their utmost to support their team move towards fulfilling their group aims and objectives. This was the result of working and thinking methodically - making the best use of team resources, recognising the team’s strengths and weaknesses, and trying to maximise the potential of their team members. This effort resulted in scoring excellent results for some projects.
Theodora Constantinou (2 Jade) and Stavriana Georgiadi (2 Red) were awarded one of the Distinguished awards for the Mathematics group presentation with their project titled ‘Can mathematics win at Monopoly?’.
A second distinguished award for group presentation was awarded for the project ‘Maths in marketing’ prepared and presented by Filaretos Ierotheou (2 Jade) and Kyriacos Avraam (2 Jade).
An award was also given to four students from year four who won the second prize in the Mathematics poster competition. The poster themed with the famous ‘Konigsberg problem’ was prepared by Michalis Petridis (4 Jade), Dimosthenis Morphis (4 Black), Klimis Porfyrides (4 Black) and Andreas Kalimeras (4 Yellow).
Students took part in the Euromath conference under the guidance and supervision of our teachers, Mr Michalis Gavrielides, Ms Maria Pericleous and Mr Christos Kilaniotis.
Well done to everyone!
